Women's Pastor
Pastors Ed and Denise have been members of
Brownsville since February of 1984. After 22 years in active church leadership,
Ed joined the pastoral team in May 2004.
He serves as the Executive Pastor, combining business responsibilities
and pastoral care. Denise has been
involved in ministry to women at Brownsville since 1988. She now serves as the Women’s Pastor and
oversees the ministries of the Women’s Department. She also serves with her husband in areas of
pastoral care.
Ed was employed in the secular arena for 34
years. He worked in various management
positions and has an awesome understanding of the difficulties and successes of
market place ministry. Ed has gained
much wisdom through personal experiences and is able to offer encouragement and
help bring Godly wisdom and understanding to those who are involved with the
challenges of the market place. Ed’s 34
years of secular employment were God’s training ground for him and Ed has many
testimonies of God’s faithfulness throughout those years. As a licensed minister with the Assemblies of
God, Ed is now blessed to be able to serve the Lord, His people, the community
of Brownsville, and the city of
Pensacola through full time ministry. The Lord also provided Ed with the
opportunity to travel throughout southeastern
Australia and minister through preaching the Word
and personal prayer, which was a life-changing experience for
him!
Denise has been a part of the Women’s
Department of Brownsville since 1988 when she began teaching a weekly Bible
study. Denise is a gifted teacher and
has been actively involved in various areas of women’s ministry over the past 19
years. Through teaching and personal
ministry, she brings forth the truth of God’s Word with clarity and practical
application. Denise has had
opportunities to minister throughout the United States and Australia, crossing
denominational lines and geographical borders.
Her heart’s desire is to help women of every walk of life become healthy
spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, socially, and financially. It is such a blessing to Denise to see women
walk in wholeness and fulfill the plans and purposes that God has foreordained
for them.
Ed and Denise have been married for 34
years. They are the parents of two grown
children. Jonathan lives and works in
Pensacola.
Jennifer and her husband, Kyle, are ministers and live in Harpersville,
Alabama, near Birmingham.
