F.A.Q.

Q: What to Expect?

A:

  • Service Times: Worship Experiences are at 10am on Sundays.
  • Child Care: We provide excellent childcare in a clean, safe, and fun environment. You will check your children in and out of children’s ministry safely. Each class will have at least 2 teachers. And all teachers submit to a thorough background check. Brownsville Kid’s is Christ centered, so you can trust that your children will develop a passion for Jesus and solid Christian foundation. Voyager is our media driven ministry for children grades 6 -12. Crosswalk ministers to our 4 and 5 year olds, and Baby Steps is our nursery for children 0 – 3.
  • Worship: You will experience contemporary praise and worship in a family friendly environment. We encourage participation in worship. You will see a variety of ways in which people participate; some sit, some stand, some lift their hands. How you participate is up to you, we simply ask that you worship God with all of your heart.
  • You will also notice that we devote significant time to worship because we believe it is the number one reason we come together – to glorify God.
  • Messages: Expect challenging and inspiring messages that are Bible based. Messages are generally feed into the service from our main campus and delivered by our Senior Pastor Dr. Evon Horton.
  • Altar Ministry: Often we open the altars for people to respond to life changing messages or to pray with people for their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. You will be free to participate in these altar times as you feel comfortable.

Q: What to Wear?

A:

We encourage you to come as you are, while encouraging modesty. People’s attire generally includes casual wear to suits and everything in between.

Q: What’s a Satellite Church Like?

A:

A satellite is an extension of a previously existing church. Satellites exist in order for the main campus to reach new communities and cultures for Christ. Each location has its own personality and ministries, including its own Campus Pastor. Sunday’s Sermons are generally feed into the service from the main campus and delivered by the Senior Pastor.

Q: What about Children’s Ministries?

A:

Children’s Ministries take Center stage at Brownsville. We offer a clean safe and fun children’s program with Christ-Centered teaching. We have a certified worker in children’s CPR and keep two workers for each classroom. All children’s workers submit to a complete background check, for your comfort and your children’s safety.
