Rough Week

Today is Friday and it’s been a pretty rough week. Last weekend Deborah’s father was taken to hospital in the evening with what they diagnosed as a mini stroke – this prevented me from attending the men’s leadership dinner Friday night. I spoke at our Men’s Conference Saturday morning. I loved Coach Bill McCartney’s message and felt led to have an altar call – and have Coach pray! About 30 some men came forward. As I prayed alongside coach he had a prophetic word for each one, it was powerful! But what was really special, as we went to my office for a break – he shared he’d never done that before. Isn’t God Great? It was at Brownsville that Coach McCartney, founder of the powerful Promise Keepers movement, received the gift of prophecy!

Sunday, Roosevelt Hunter spoke and shared a wonderful word. Again, God moved in a powerful way. They released my father-in-law – saying he hadn’t had a stroke at all – the tests had come up negative! Praise God! Pearl, his wife, is in a specialty care facility and isn’t very happy about it. This is upsetting to Paul and in the midst of all this we’re working with our daughter and future son-in-law planning a wedding in a few weeks! Can the stress levels get any higher?

Yes they can. On Wednesday I came down with virus and have been sick! Pray the Lord will strengthen me for Sunday. I’m excited to preach but am very weak from this bug, so I apologize for not writing more this past week and half but it’s been difficult to have energy to do so.

This Sunday is going to be an exciting day with sharing a message on One Passion. I know the Lord is going to move in a great way. It’s also the day we launch our new ministry training center. Paul Martin from Global University will be with us, as well as we will be honoring our graduates!

Stay tuned for more to this wonderful saga known as life!
