I write this as Brownsville’s Women’s Conference is occurring. I was up early this morning praying for the conference and sensed the Lord telling me this is a new day for women’s conferences at Brownsville and a new day for conferences in general here at the church. I realized there have been so many expectations put upon conferences at the church, there needs to be a fresh wind to breathe through the aspect of conference gatherings. The upcoming Men’s conference and the youth conference, Branded by Fire, I believe will benefit from this gathering in many ways. As I walked through the gazebo/courtyard while the ladies were having their box lunch, it was great to hear the spirit of fellowship and laughter! Deborah spoke in the first session, and shared a number of family and personal stories. The ladies said "one minute we were laughing and the next crying." It was good to hear, but I’m still wondering what all she said! Tomorrow is going to be a very eventful day with Marilyn Hickey speaking. I’m currently going through a lot of emotion. I’ve never met her personally, even though we’ve spoken by phone. But for Deborah & I, our lives wouldn’t have been the same without her ministry twenty two years ago in the Niagara Falls, New York, Convention Center where we were first Spirit filled by her laying hands on us. Our lives have never been the same since! I’m excited about not only meeting this Godly, anointed woman but to see what the Lord is going to do at Brownsville tomorrow morning and evening. There was something that happened in the heavenlies when the anointing that is at Brownsville merged with the anointing that is on Pastor Benny Hinn when he was here in January of 07. The anointing at Brownsville increased and grew. Now I’m praying for the anointing of Marilyn to converge with that of Brownsville and grow and increase again! I must admit I don’t fully understand all of this, and how it works theologically. I just know that things happen when Godly people gather at the blessed sanctuary of Brownsville! |
