| God Stepped in with a Different Agenda |
|
Sunday's service was a celebration of Veteran's Day, honoring our military, past and present. We were honored to have a Marine Corps Color Guard with us, and we thank them for their service. Our worship quickly took us into revelation of the Father's heart for us, with prophetic words coming forth from 5 different members plus Pastor Evon. Two of the words were actually written out by members prior to the service. God wove a scarlet thread through every prophetic word that was given. As we worshipped, and then waited for the moving of the Holy Spirit, God's message to us began to unfold, and continued throughout the entire service. Pastor did not preach, but simply helped facilitate the moving of God in these prophetic words. The scarlet thread was that God is knocking at the door of our heart, and He wants us to let Him in, to do whatever He feels is necessary in us, and for us to also do our part in the process.
* As Nick was leading us in worship, he began to speak from the Father's
heart, saying " All the time we say "come Lord." God says to us that He comes
all the time. When will we come for a change? God takes steps, but when will
we take that step? He comes to us everyday. We have to step out and welcome
Him. God only comes to this place through us and He's begging, saying "let Me
in." He is knocking on the door and He won't leave until He's welcome."
* Pastor Evon read Rev.3:15-20 to us, which is God speaking to the church
of Laodicea about their deeds and being lukewarm. In verse 20, God says
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the
door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me."
* Pastor Evon then gave a message in tongues and the interpretation
followed: "The Lord is calling you. He sees you as you stand before Him. He
knows your heart and your hesitancy and your desire for more of Him. But He's
calling you to come, not to an altar, but to a place of relationship with Him.
He is calling you. The only question is "will you answer?"
* Pastor began to pray and he decreed 2 things: "God wants to heal
relationships that have been broken or strained. And God is wanting to release
healing from past hurts and disappointments in our lives.
While Pastor Mike was singing "in the silence, You are speaking...." , two
prophetic words came from members:
* A vision was seen over the platform of God renting the veil in two - a
total tearing of the curtain. God said "I have rent the veil in two for you. I
have torn it. Now it is about your own heart. Hearts that have gotten cold,
hard, lazy and distant. Hearts that have let division come in, discouragement
and overwhelming hurt. Brownsville, you have put a cloth over your heart,
separating you from Me. It is because of things that happened that you didn't
like, in the church and in your lives, and the enemy has run rampant and had his
way and you've let him do it. God says I want you to get strong again and
stand up. I want you to look at Me and hear Me in the silence. You must take
everything off your heart that you've put around it to guard yourself from
hurt."
* A vision was seen of a house under renovation. "All our lives are like
this - some are in disrepair and some just needs remodeling. God is the Master
Contractor and wants to come into our houses (our lives), tearing out walls and
repairing things that have been hidden. Trust me, says the Lord. Some of the
renovations are easy and some are hard and we wonder when it will be over. God
is coming into our lives to uncover and to bind up wounds, to fix things that
may also become a problem down the road. He tells us that when the job is
finished, we will see it's beauty and be amazed. "
* A scripture and word was given to one of our members one week before this
service, and was given to Pastor: "Behold I stand at the door and knock. He
who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says. Jesus is the Door, the Way, the
Truth and the Life. The only way to the Father is through the Son. It is the
call to salvation, repentance and restoration. It is fellowship restored with
the Father."
* A member received a prophetic word from the Lord an hour prior to
service. It was typed out and given to Pastor: (This word has been edited to
summarize it's content): "My children in Pensacola, you have everything you
need to transform your city into the glorious emerald gem I created it to be.
It will sparkle with fresh new life again. If you will take up the cloth, I
will polish this gem and bring it to the state I created it to be. From
darkness into light, I will bring your city.
The five flags are my enduring symbol of the GRACE I have poured out on
this city. My unmerited favor will flow over this city and make all things
new. It will be called a city of brotherly love. Many flags have vied for
control over this gem of mine. Division, derision and a tearing has taken
place in the spirit realm. You are a torn people. You are not presently
walking in the whole cloth I have for you. You settle for rags when I have
riches for you. Riches that nations hunger for. I will feed the nations on
your crumbs if you will lay down your lives and allow me to breathe the breath
of life into your streets. I will clean your streets and wash your souls. I
will break the yoke of depression and poverty and set you free. Do not miss
this invitation to entertain My presence in your lives and city. Behold I
stand at the door and knock, any man who hears My voice and will open their
heart unto Me, I will come in and dine with him and give him My peace."
It was a special day at Brownsville, as Holy Spirit flowed in revelation,
exhortation, and instruction. Our prayer is that we will indeed answer God's
call to let Him come into our hearts and have His way. We will open the door,
Lord. We'll do our part, and we will come to You. We will tear and remove the
veil that we have put over our own hearts. We will allow you to renovate us
and remodel us. We receive your healing of broken relationships and past
wounds. We will not miss any invitation to entertain Your Presence. We will
allow You access to every facet of our heart and allow You to do whatever You
deem necessary. We will do what You say to do and we will go where You say to
go. We hear You knocking on the door of our heart, and we open the door and let
You in. We trust You, Lord and know that You are in control.
