Missions Sunday Finale
Sunday, 24 February 2008

What a great conclusion to our missions convention this past Sunday. As we announced the building of another Habitat Home someone in the congregation has pledged to pay the whole amount needed - that's $25,000! Praise the Lord! What a powerful testimony to God's provision. The truck load of food from Feed the Children was unloaded in record time of 45 minutes. The NBA had unloaded a truck of food the previous week and it took Shaquelle O'Neil and his team 75 minutes to unload it! The congregation of Brownsville is mighty in Spirit.

This Sunday Pastor Horton will begin a new series on the Body of Christ. What is the church? Where do you fit? How to discover your spiritual gift? Are all questions that will be answered during this series.

Jamie's Nursery Announced
Sunday, 03 February 2008

This past Sunday Pastor Horton read a letter from Donna concerning the anniversary of the passing of her son Jamie. It was moving and timely as Brownsville is renovating the Nurseries. Thousands of babies, during revival, stayed in the Nursery Annex. Now the Nurseries are moving to the Family Life Center, where all of the Children's Ministries can be located in one building. If you'd like to donate to the Nursery simply go Target.com, or Lowes.com, look up expectant mother as Brownsville (1st name), Assembly of God (last name), order and have them deliver!

The following is Donna's letter about Jamie:
