Sunday, April 13th, God moved in power during
service. We had water baptisms, a baby dedication and then, for the third time
in his life (and third time in the last six months), Pastor refrained from preaching
and allowed the Lord to minister. There were five altar calls; first for step families,
then salvation, baptism of the Holy Spirit, intercessors and finally,
worshippers. It was truly an empowerment of the gifts of the Spirit.
Sunday, April 20th, the Lord moved with a call
for healing. Many came forward and many were healed, praise God! Pastor
preached on discovering your spiritual gifts and that if you want the gifts of
the Spirit you have to dig deep. As always, you can watch our services by

The last few weeks Brownsville has seen God moving in an
exceptional way. Easter Sunday the cross was decorated with Lilies, our dance
team performed "Now Behold the Lamb", and over 30 were baptized in
water! On the 30th, Pastor preached on the topic of "One"; one body,
one faith, one Spirit, one Lord. There was an altar call for men with
addictions, many came forward and were set free! This past Sunday was a continuation of the "One" series with the topic of
gifts of the Spirit. Everybody has spiritual gifts aside from personal talents.
These gifts are from the Lord to be used for the Lord and Pastor shared how to
discover your own gifts (there is a link on the right hand side of this page
that leads to a spiritual gifts questionnaire). There was an altar call to
receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and many were filled! We thank God for
what He is doing and ask Him to continue working in us and through us to see
lives forever changed.

Palm Sunday at Brownsville began with the children waving palm branches and singing "Hosanna". The adults soon joined as we welcomed the Lord into the house, and He was faithful to accept our invitation. Pastor's message was entitled Breakthrough: A Plot, Perfume and Palms. He discussed how God has been doing something new at Brownsville and we need to be ready and prepair for the breakthrough. Breakthrough can come from 3 actions: 1. A breaking of position: expression of egos. (John 11:51-53) 2. Breaking of a box: an expression of love. (John 12:7) 3. Breaking of palms: an expression of praise. (Psalm 118:25-26, Luke 19:28, Zechariah 9:9) As the congregation began to praise and worship the altars were filled with people hungry for breakthrough. From salvation, to finance, to healing, the needs were great but our God is greater and we thank Him for what He is doing and are excited to see what's next. He's up to something big and we are ready!
