Today is Charlotte’s 1st Birthday! Charlotte is my granddaughter, and the current delight of my life! She is so precious and special. Grandkids are the best! It’s hard to believe that one year ago today, my baby was having a baby. There is just something so special that God has sown into his creation where you can see life perpetuate itself, through your own creation.

My last entry was after returning from Lakeland, since that time I’ve been in dialogue with Todd Bentley a number of times. He called me Friday evening – the first night they were at Tiger Stadium. It was 6:45pm, and he said the crowd was so great it shut traffic down in the city of Lakeland. The stadium was packed with 12,000 people and several thousand outside, not able to get in. WOW! I sent him a text at 7:40 asking if he got in yet and he called at 7:45 saying he just got in and the service had started without him.

I just returned from visiting the Lakeland Healing Outpouring with Todd Bentley. The event was held in the Lakeland Civic Center. Todd and his team were very gracious to us (Aaron Shreve and Jeff Jackson went with me). As the service began it was evident the crowd was very hungry and desiring a move of God. My impressions of Todd are that he’s very genuine and is only wanting to see God move in a powerful way. His whole team are very sincere in wanting God!

It’s now Tuesday afternoon going into the evening, and I’m still basking in the phenomenal touch of God from Sunday’s services. Marilyn Hickey was our guest both morning and evening. It was under her ministry that both Deborah & I were Spirit filled. Once I got over the initial excitement of meeting her, I found Marilyn to be so genuine and transparent. That came through on the platform and off. Her phenomenal Bible teaching and practical application went a long way to touch people’s lives in the congregation.

I write this as Brownsville’s Women’s Conference is occurring. I was up early this morning praying for the conference and sensed the Lord telling me this is a new day for women’s conferences at Brownsville and a new day for conferences in general here at the church. I realized there have been so many expectations put upon conferences at the church, there needs to be a fresh wind to breathe through the aspect of conference gatherings. The upcoming Men’s conference and the youth conference, Branded by Fire, I believe will benefit from this gathering in many ways.
