In Pastor Evon's new series, "Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus", we find
that there are four fundamental characteristics of God,which are only received
from God Himself as we are saved and filled with His Spirit. This first
message is a focus on the Holiness of God, which is purity,
getting un-Godly things out of our life, and separation away from these
things (Lev. 11:44). The most important part of this message is the
realization and knowledge that the closest to holiness that we can get
is through worship. Communion with the Lord and worship will
establish holiness in us.

On Sunday morning, Pastor Evon started his new series "Walking in
the Footsteps of Jesus". Today's message, which was a prelude for the
series of messages was entitled "The Church Today." Pastor's
scriptural text was from Act 2:1-4, which describes the New
Testament (or "A2" - Acts 2) church. It was started in Jerusalem, probably
because that is where the 120 were gathered in the Upper Room, and it was the
place for Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. As the 120 gathered, they were
in one accord, and the Spirit of the Living God came into the room as tongues of
fire, settling on each one present. They were touched and forever changed,
thus beginning this new spirit-filled church. After this happened to them,
they were used mightily of God and were able to focus on what their call was and
move in the power of God like never before.

We were honored and blessed to have Terry McAlmon on
Friday night, leading us into the Throne Room with his genuine worship
anointing. Terry's music is so special and known to the Body of Christ. His
kind, humble spirit helps to usher in the glory of God in meetings around the
world, and we were truly blessed to have him as our special guest on Friday
evening. People flooded the altars for breakthrough and miracles and God's
sweet Presence filled the sanctuary. We send our love and blessings to Terry
and his wife and our thanks for being such a facilitator of God's glory in our
House.

Continuing in Pastor Evon's series is this week's message from Exodus 17:8-16 -
"Exploring in Freedom." This teaching shows how spiritual warfare comes and
battles will rage around us. When the Israelites were in slavery in Egypt
for 400 years, they did not have to fight, nor did they have strategy or army. Now that they were set free, the battles then came against them. God spared
them at first from the battles, however just like with all of us - the battles
will come.
